The Rocketbook Wave is an affordable, simple notebook that gives you a straightforward way to get your handwritten notes into the digital world — and allows you to reuse their pages in the microwave after a quick zap.
Revolutionary Design
The Rocketboot Wave is a very ordinary spiral notebook with a few small variations to make it microwaveable. For one, it has a binding of white polypropylene rather than metal. It also has a set of blue circles on its green front and back cover to show where the glass of water should be put when microwaving.
Physical overview
The notebook comes in two sizes: Regular and Executive. Standard measures 8.5 by 9.5 inches (HW), and at 6.0 by 8.9 inches, the Executive is slightly smaller. Both versions have 80 pages, and come with a FriXion Pilot pen, which is the only pen you can use if you want your notes to be erased. Use of a regular ink pen will permanently make your writing. I have checked the Standard version.

Every Notebook sheet is fine grain paper with a dot pattern. You'll see a QR code in the bottom corner to help keep track of the pages, along with the device icons in a horizontal row next to it. A black border covers the sheet itself and feels a bit thicker and higher-quality than regular ruled notebook paper.
Setup is straightforward. Start by downloading the free App from the Apple App Store or Google Play for Rocketbook; I checked it with an iPhone 6s Plus. The device boasts three tables. Scan launches your camera app, and takes a page picture that is cropped and enhanced. History shows the scans all over. And Destinations allows you to set which applications to connect to.
